2 wounded near underage party in NE Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Two young people were seriously wounded in a shooting in Northeast Portland where an underage party had been held, police said.

Shortly before 1:30 a.m., police and medical personnel found the people near the scene of the party in the 5200 block of NE 55th Avenue. The wounded people — a male and female whose ages were not disclosed — were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. They are expected to recover.

The Gang Enforcement Team is investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 503.823.3333.
