Getting out of town Wednesday? Expect rain, increasing easterly winds in the Columbia River Gorge, and strong SE winds with gusts to 40 mph for the coast. Wednesday will also be the warmest day this week and it is entirely possible to tie or break record high temperatures. Central and eastern OR may see highs in the mid 60’s.
Thanksgiving Day, yes still above average yet cooler by a few degrees. Portland’s record high for Thanksgiving Day is 63, set 40 years ago.
Showers will continue through Friday. When the cold front kicks in Friday morning, temps will drop noticeably. Then you’ll see snow falling just above pass level ~ 4,500′. More wet and cooler weather for the weekend.
