CLACKAMAS, Ore. (KOIN) — A man from Texas died when the vintage pickup he was riding in went off Highway 211 and rolled Thursday afternoon in Clackamas County.

Anthony Scallon was riding in a 1961 Ford pickup around 4:15 p.m. that day when it left the road near milepost 22, rolled and ended in some brush about 20 feet off the highway. The 39-year-old resident of Garland, Texas died at the scene.

The driver of the pickup, 33-year-old Jacob Dondero of Caldwell, Idaho, was taken to OHSU for treatment of his injuries.

Investigators said neither man was wearing a seatbelt. Speed and alcohol may both be factors in the crash, they said.
