LONGVIEW, Wash. (KOIN) — Twenty-five people were displaced from Longview apartments after 3 cars were engulfed in flames that spread to the building.

Longview firefighters found the cars on fire when they arrived at 12:14 a.m. Saturday, officials said. Flames had already spread to the second-floor of the apartment building at 818 9th Avenue. First responders helped evacuate the residents from the building.

The fire was put out within 10 minutes but caused considerable damage to the building’s electrical supply, including the meters and main conduits. Repairs to the building are underway and some residents may be able to return later, officials said.

Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire. No one was hurt.
