PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — One person died and 3 more were injured when 2 cars collided in North Portland Saturday morning.

The crash between a Volkswagen Jetta and a Jeep Cherokee happened around 9:30 a.m. at N. Rosa Parks Way and Delaware Avenue, police said. The Cherokee rolled onto its side and ended against the porch of a house, while the Jetta ended up on the sidewalk.

Initial reports from investigators say the Jetta, with 2 people inside, was heading north on Delaware Ave. when it hit the side of the Jeep, which was going east on Rose Parks Way.

When the Jeep was pushed into the house, one of the 2 people in that car. Diana Miller-Dixon, was killed.She was 58.

According to Portland police, investigators believe speed was a factor in the crash. Officers arrested 21-year-old Rayna Johnson on manslaughter, assault and reckless endangerment charges. She is being held at the Multnomah County Jail.
