GRANTS PASS, Ore. (KOIN) – Prosecutors are seeking an 85-year prison sentence for a man who took sexually explicit images of two toddlers.

Jeremiah Daniel will appear in court on Thursday where he will be formally sentenced.

Earlier this year, a judge convicted Daniel of one count of first-degree rape, five counts of first-degree sexual abuse, and five counts of using a child in the display of sexually explicit conduct.

According to the state’s attorney, both victims, at the time of the abuse, were 23 months old and 30 months old.

Daniel reportedly took 14 sexually explicit images of the two victims but those images had been modified, duplicated or copied more than 130 times and were found on four electronic devices belonging to him.

Daniel has been sexually abusing a child in Idaho, according to court documents.

Investigators found hundreds of images of female children posing in bathing suits. They also found a “sizable” collection of images showing nude pre-teen and teenage girls. The images were downloaded from nudist websites.

Daniel is also said to have had a “collection of female children’s underwear and baby diapers on the floor next to his bed in his residence. [Daniel] used these items for sexual arousal and admitted that he would masturbate and ejaculate into them,” according to court documents.

Daniels was arrested in August when authorities were able to identify him as the suspect due to his distinctive shamrock tattoo.

KOIN 6 News will update this story once Thursday’s sentencing is complete.
