GRESHAM, Ore. (KOIN) — A 53-foot truck with a student driver at the wheel hit a power pole and closed Glisan Street in Gresham.

The crash happened just after noon at 181st Avenue and Glisan, Gresham police said. The driver tried to make a right turn onto Glisan and snapped the power pole in half.

No one was hurt, but Glisan will be closed for hours as PGE replaces the power pole.

Drivers should use Sandy Boulevard or Burnside into and out of East County, officials said.

It’s the second crash of the day involving a truck and power poles. Early Tuesday a car hit a power pole, which fell onto a passing truck on Halsey and 183rd, injuring 4 people.
