Teen driver dies in Battle Ground head-on crash

BATTLE GROUND, Wash. (KOIN) — A teenage driver died and 3 other young people were injured in a nearly head-on crash just north of Battle Ground in the early hours of Monday.

Spencer Johnston,16, died at the scene of the crash on Highway 503, the Washington State Patrol said. The teen’s 1992 Honda Accord crossed the center line and slammed into an oncoming Nissan Maxima.

The people in the other car, the 18-year-old driver and his 19- and 20-year-old passengers, were rushed to Peacehealth Southwest Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
