PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – The Oregon State Bar is investigating former U.S. Attorney for Oregon Amanda Marshall amid allegations of misconduct.

The Oregonian/OregonLive reports that Marshall resigned last year amid rumors she had an affair with an assistant U.S. attorney and harassed him when the relationship ended.

The Office of the Inspector General earlier this month released the results of an investigation into an unnamed U.S. attorney. Marshall later confirmed she was the subject of the probe.

Marshall, who is not working in private practice, told the Oregonian/OregonLive that she deeply regrets the relationship.

The state bar’s investigation comes after an anonymous complaint. Bar investigators have given Marshall until July 11 to respond.
