EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Police arrested two Springfield residents accused of attacking a Eugene woman and her 12-year-old son.

Rhonda Brown and Tyler Sainsbury face charges of assault, burglary, criminal mischief and criminal trespass.

Eugene police say Brown and Sainsbury showed up on the woman’s porch and started breaking pots and damaging plants. When the woman asked them to leave, the pair allegedly pushed their way inside.

Police said Brown threw the woman to the ground and grabbed the 12-year-old by the throat when he intervened.

The female victim told police she knows Brown and Sainsbury through a previous employer in the marijuana industry.

The Register-Guard reports that the 41-year-old Brown is an educational assistant for the Lane Education Service District. The district website states that she specializes in life skills and special education.
