Police: Teen stabbed in marijuana deal gone wrong

GRESHAM, Ore. (KOIN) — A teen suffered multiple stab wounds during a marijuana deal gone bad in a Gresham park Tuesday evening, police said.

The stabbing happened around 6:20 p.m. at Red Sunset Park, 2403 NE Red Sunset Drive, according to Gresham Police Dept.

A witness told KOIN 6 News they saw 2 men running from the scene, shouting that the victim tried to rob them. Police believe a total of 4 suspects involved in the crime fled the scene before officers arrived. None of them have been located.

A handgun was found at the scene, although it doesn’t appear any rounds were fired.

The victim is listed in critical condition but is expected to survive.

The first suspect is described as a heavy set 16-year-old Asian male. The second is identified as a skinny 16 to 17-year-old African American male. The third and fourth suspects are described as skinny 15 to 16-year-old Caucasian males.
