PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — He’s no longer just KOIN 6 Anchor Ken Boddie. He’s Sir Ken Boddie.

Ken was knighted Friday by the Royal Rosarians, who consider themselves the official greeters and ambassadors for the city of Portland.

They knighted Ken for his contributions to the city.

“You do this because you love the job, you love being able to contribute to the community in that way by giving information and letting people know what’s going on in the world,” Ken says. “But this is an acknowledgment that people appreciate and I take that away from that so I’m very humbled by it.”

Ken has been in Portland 34 years and has worked with KOIN for 30.
