Burglar ruins almost-married Portland couple’s plans

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A soon-to-be-married couple’s home was burglarized Friday in North Portland by at least one person who took off with wedding gifts, a passport, a computer and a Toyota Prius.

The groom-to-be was scheduled to fly to Mexico on Sunday to get married, but won’t be able to go without a passport.

The burglary in the 8000 block of North Newman Avenue happened sometime between 7:45 a.m. and 6 p.m., police said. The groom called police when he arrived home and discovered the burglary.

The stolen blue 2012 Prius has an Oregon license plate of 626DQN.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
