Motorcyclist hits truck bumper on Hwy 217, dies

BEAVERTON, Ore. (KOIN) — A motorcyclist died after he apparently clipped the rear bumper of a semi-truck as he tried to pass on Highway 217 Saturday night.

The crash, around 9:30 p.m., happened near Walker Road, Beaverton police said. The motorcyclist died at the scene. He has been identified as 32-year-old Benjamin Caruth, from Beaverton.

The truck driver stopped and cooperated with police. He was not cited or charged.
