PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — An 82-year-old man traveling from Portland to the Bend area, missing since Thursday, was found safe on Sunday, family members told KOIN 6 News.

William Andrew Clark was driving a 1992 white Ford Ranger when he left Portland on Thursday to visit his family in Prospect, Oregon. He may have taken the back roads, his family said. Clark is a National Guard veteran whose family said he is ailing.

Searchers were able to ping his cell phone around 3 p.m. Friday in Chemult, in Klamath County, off Highway 97.

It’s not clear at this writing where or how he was found, but he is safe. KOIN 6 News will have more information as soon as possible.
