7 hurt in pickup-SUV crash on Highway 47

One woman was airlifted to OHSU

GASTON, Ore. (KOIN) — A collision between a pickup truck and an SUV on Highway 47 left 7 people injured, including one woman who was airlifted.

The Saturday night crash happened north of Gaston around 10:30 p.m. on Highway 47 at Seghers Road, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said. A Ford F-350 was hit from behind by a GMC Acadia, went across the road and into the ditch.

The pickup’s driver, 50-year-old Eileen Korman, was taken by ambulance to St. Vincent Hospital in Portland.

Six people in the GMC were all injured and taken to OHSU. The driver, 45-year-old Theresa Tricarico, was airlifted to the hospital.

All 7 people are expected to recover, authorities said.

Investigators are still looking into the cause of the crash.
