2-alarm fire displaces 38 people in Gresham

GRESHAM, Ore. (KOIN) — A 2-alarm fire that ripped through a Gresham apartment in the early hours of Sunday affected 38 people and one pet.

The fire was reported around 4:30 a.m. in the 400 block of NE Cleveland and was deemed under control around 5:30 a.m.

No injuries were reported.

Investigators believe the cost of the damage exceeds $500,000.

The cause is still under investigation. The Red Cross responded to help all those affected.
