PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A 26-year veteran of Portland Fire & Rescue was arrested on suspicion of DUII Saturday morning.
PF&R was notified this afternoon that James Morelli, an inspector with the fire marshal’s office, was arrested after a single vehicle crash. No one was seriously injured.
Morelli was booked into the Clackamas County Jail. PF&R also said Morelli will not be permitted to drive a publicly owned car during the investigation.
PF&R officials are investigating the incident.
In October 2000, Morelli was found guilty of careless driving. Then in 2007, he was charged with 4th-degree harassment and then entered an anger management and alcohol treatment program related to the charge in 2009.
