PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The Rose Festival is kicking off this Memorial Day weekend with CityFair at Tom McCall Waterfront Park.

CityFair starts May 27 and continues for 3 weekends. The event is open May 27-30 and June 2-5, 9-12.

The opening night celebration will include a fireworks show, concert and a dance party beginning at 8 p.m., fireworks start at 9:45 p.m.

This is one of Oregon’s largest fireworks displays, so it will fit right in to this year’s Rose Festival theme of “excessive celebration.”

The outdoor entertainment area, called RoZone, includes various music and dance performances, carnival attractions, food, a live animal exhibit and beer among other things.

Admission to CityFair is $8 for ages 7 and up. Ticket prices range from $20 for 40 tickets to $50 for an unlimited wristband.
