PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – A Portland defense attorney has been arrested on suspicion of heroin and methamphetamine possession.

The Oregonian/OregonLive reports 46-year-old Jeffrey Milstein was arrested Wednesday at the Clackamas County Courthouse.

Court records say the accusations against Milstein stem from a May 16 incident at the Chinook Winds Casino in Lincoln County.

A probable cause affidavit says casino staff called police after someone saw a woman and two men inside a car smoking drugs. Police later found the car and say several methamphetamine pipes, a “glob” of heroin and other drug paraphernalia were inside.

Court records say Milstein, his 28-year-old client Brock Kelland and 30-year-old Candice Gooch were indicted on possession of meth and heroin charges May 20. Kelland and Gooch were arrested previously.

Milstein has been a member of the Oregon State Bar since 2008
