Want to mail in your ballot? Do it Thursday

Oregon's primary is Tuesday, May 17

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — If you want to save yourself a trip to the ballot box by mailing in your ballot, you better do it now.

Multnomah County elections officials warn Thursday is the last day to mail in a ballot to make sure it arrives by Tuesday, May 17. Postmarks do not count.

If you don’t get your ballot in the mail, there are several drop boxes around Portland that are accessible 24 hours a day.

The Multnomah County elections office is also holding extended hours leading up to the primary election.
