Fraud alert: Pair pretending to raise money for club

People are using the name of the Boys and Girls Club to steal your money

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Someone is using the names of Portland Trail Blazers and the Boys and Girl Club to steal your money.

The Boys and Girls Club told KOIN 6 News people are going door to door selling magazine subscriptions which would go directly to the club.

They claim to be connected with the Blazer’s club, but that is not true.

One woman told KOIN 6 her husband paid for a subscription but they got suspicious. They have been giving to the club for years and decided to call the club directly.

The Boys and Girls Club is trying to figure out how to shut it down. In the meantime, you should not buy any subscriptions from someone claiming to with the Blazer’s Club.
