A small group showed up outside the Multnomah County jail to show support for the brothers, including their wives, who say they got to speak with their husbands for the first time.

“It’s a circus,” says Lisa Bundy, wife of Ammon. “We just got to see our husbands for the first time, through the glass. There’s not been any contact.”

Ammon and Ryan led the takeover the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge earlier this year.

They traveled to Nevada to face charges over an armed standoff at their father’s ranch 2 years ago.
