Astoria man dies at Youngs River Falls

ASTORIA, Ore. (AP) — An Astoria man died at Youngs River Falls after falling about 45 feet.

The Oregonian reports that 34-year-old Joseph Nestor was climbing with his family Saturday before he fell.

Rich Nestor says his brother hit a rock at the bottom of the pool below and disappeared into the water. When emergency crews arrived 20 minutes later they declared Joseph Nestor dead at the scene.

Joseph Nestor left behind his wife, Mandy, and two boys Phoenix, 9, and Max, 2.
