PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Five people in their 20s, said to be known gang associates, were arrested in Brentwood Park Thursday afternoon.
Two women, Brenea Sante Williams and Sequoia Raenne Turner, face loaded weapons charges. Three men were taken into custody on parole violations.
Williams, 24, allegedly had a loaded handgun in her hand when she was seen by police in the Southeast Portland park. Turner, 23, had a loaded gun in her waistband when she was spotted, police said.
Two other guns were found in the park, including one laying on a picnic table, police said. The other was from a man who was released for the time being.
The three men — Clemeth Maurice Porter, 28, Jaronn Mart Moody, 23, and 24-year-old Brandon Taylore Johnson — are in the Multnomah County Jail for parole violations.
Turner is being held on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a loaded firearm. Williams faces the same charges plus possession of a weapon in a park.
