PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man accused of bilking drywall customers is behind bars and faces identity theft and theft charges.

Humberto Guzman-Cazarez allegedly used the business names of construction companies and LLCs to get the drywall and sheetrock work. The 40-year-old told his customers he needed half the money up front, and then never showed up to do the job, police said.

Guzman-Cazarez is being held in the Multnomah County Jail on 3 counts of 1st-degree theft, one count of 2nd-degree theft and 3 counts of identity theft.

Investigators think there may be other victims in the Portland metro area.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Mitch Hergert at 503.823.0400.
