PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Blues will blast from along the banks of the Willamette River once again this July featuring the Tedeschi-Trucks Band, Maceo Parker and ZZ Ward.
Those are just some of the highlight acts at the 29th annual Safeway Albertsons Waterfront Blues Festival set for July 1-4. Once again, KOIN is a proud sponsor of the festival.
Other top acts announced include the Curtis Salgado Band, Femi Kuti, Chubby Carrier & the Bayou Swamp Band, Kingfish Ingram, Grace Love & the True Loves and the California Honeydrops.
Artistic director Peter Dammann said, “Performers from Africa and Brazil as well as Mississippi, Texas, Chicago and the Pacific Northwest” will be on the stages along the Willamette.
About 100 acts will perform on the 4 stages over the July 4th weekend in a benefit for the Oregon Food Bank.
Four-day passes are now on sale: a basic 4-day pass, the Blues Buddy pass, the Benefactor pass and the Patron pass.
