Shooting at Bi-Mart leaves 1 wounded, 1 in custody

KEIZER, Ore. (KOIN) — One person was shot in the parking lot of a store and the alleged shooter is in custody, Keizer police told KOIN 6 News.

The shooting at the Bi-Mart, 3862 River Road North, happened around 1:30 p.m. Monday. When police arrived they found one person wounded and rushed that person to Salem Hospital.

The suspect, Kyle Madrid, was quickly taken into custody. He is charged with attempt to commit murder, assault, unlawful use of a weapon and felon in possession of a firearm.
