PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Starting Monday, the Broadway Bridge will be closed to drivers.

The bridge will reopen the morning of Monday, April 11.

During that time, crews will remove scaffolding used for a painting project. The north sidewalk on the bridge will stay open during the closure.

The painting project began in June 2015 and should wrap up by August of this year.

TriMet’s 17-Holgate/Broadway bus route will detour to the Steel Bridge during the closure.

Portland Streetcar will serve both sides of the river during the closure, via the Tilikum Crossing.
