(WTNH) – Ex-Subway spokesperson Jared Fogle was beaten in a violent prison yard attack according to documents.

Fogle was charged for trading in child pornography and having sex with underage prostitutes last year.

TMZ reports that in the documents, Fogle got jumped in the rec yard at Englewood prison in Colorado on Januray 29.

Inmate, 60-year-old Steven Nigg who is serving time for a weapons charge, attacked Fogle leaving him with a bloody nose, swollen face and scratches all over his neck.

TMZ spoke to Nigg’s family and they we’re not surprised because Steven Nigg is upset so many child sex predators are housed in the low security facility.

According to the New York Daily News, Nigg is set to be released in 2024 from federal custody while Fogle will have to wait another five years to finish his sentence.
