PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A motorcyclist was hospitalized with potentially life-threatening injuries Wednesday night after a crash involving a pick-up truck.

Officers were called to the scene of the crash at NW 18th Avenue and Johnson Street around 8:50 p.m., Portland Police Bureau said.

Two people were riding the motorcycle at the time of the crash, police said. A man was hospitalized with traumatic injuries, and a woman had less serious injuries.

The driver of the pick-up truck stayed at the scene, police said.

Traffic was blocked at the intersection for several hours.
