PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — We’re just days away from the Super Bowl, which means football is probably already on your mind. But don’t forget, there’s another exciting part of the game to look forward to.
Thats right, the commercials!
The price tag for a 30-second spot during this year’s Super Bowl is a whopping $5 million, and dozens of companies are already in the game.
Now, thanks to a Beaverton company, you can be too.
Dialsmith is the research technology company behind dial meters that help focus groups tell companies what they like or don’t like about a product.
And in the spirit of the Super Bowl, Dialsmith created an onscreen slider app that lets you rate commercials second-by-second as you watch them online.
Here’s how it works:
- Click to play icon on the video to start the ad
- Then use the slider to continuously rate the ad as you watch
- Slide right if you love it, or left if you hate it
- The farther you slide, the stronger your opinion
- See how your ratings compared to others’
Pokemon – #Pokemon20
Colgate – #EveryDropCounts
Quicken Loans – What We Were Thinking
This year you’ll see plenty of ads that are funny, star-studded and heart-warming.
You’ll see at least one ad with a socially conscious message: Colgate’s #EveryDropCounts commercial urges viewers to stop wasting water.
