PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Clemente Banuelos-Delgado, 52, was sentenced to just over 12 years in prison this week for nearly cutting a woman’s hand off.

Portland police say Banuelos-Delgado used a machete back in May to assault a woman. He was reportedly upset with over how she cleaned his garage. He pled no contest to one count of first-degree assault.

When police responded to the 4500 block of Northeast 88th Street, they found the woman’s hand was “mostly severed.” The cut to the woman’s arm was so deep her hand was “dangling” from the end of her arm.

Banuelos-Delgado was sentenced this week to a total of 12 years and 6 months in prison.
