Man injured in Northeast Portland house fire

The fire is under control

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Portland Fire & Rescue battled a house fire in Northeast Portland Thursday afternoon.

The house is located in the Irvington neighborhood near NE 24th and Brazee.

Firefighters say the fire started in the basement. The fire was mostly contained to that area.

Contractors were working inside when the fire started and one man did suffer minor burns.

Investigators are on scene and the cause is under investigation.
