Dive team recovers body of missing Oregon man

OAKRIDGE, Ore. (AP) – Search and rescue volunteers found the body of an Oregon man who was reported missing in late December.

The Lane County Sheriff’s Office says Mark “Jason” Manderscheid’s body was found Monday night in the Salmon Creek area near Oakridge.

The 31-year-old Creswell man told friends shortly after Christmas he was going camping, and then head to Eugene and possibly Seattle.

A volunteer dive team recovered the body and the medical examiner will do an autopsy.
