Stolen truck, property spotted in Cascade Locks

CASCADE LOCKS, Ore. (KOIN) — A stolen Dodge pickup from Gresham was spotted in Cascade Locks with stolen property inside on Christmas Day, and Hood River deputies arrested 2 people during a traffic stop.

Caleb Mayne Maxwell, 25, and 20-year-old Fanesha Leaprea Montgomery face multiple charges of burglary, theft, possessing a firearm, possessing burglary tools, unauthorized use of a vehicle and possessing meth.

The pickup had been stolen about a week before they were spotted, and the stolen property was traced to burglaries in Hood River and Cascade Locks about 6 days before.

Maxwell is from Portland, while Montgomery is from Vancouver. Both are being held at the Northern Oregon Regional Correctional Facilities.
