PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Drivers on Monday morning used caution on the roads as the possibility of black ice made conditions dangerous.
Monday will be chilly and cloudy but mainly dry.
Areas of higher elevation were still covered with a snowy slush, however. US-26 and Hwy 6 appear to be most susceptible to black ice and slick roads, according to the National Weather Service.
Areas in western Washington and Yamhill counties, including Hwy 47 between Banks and McMinnville, may also turn icy.
Roads feeding off of Skyline Boulevard in Portland’s West Hills may also develop black ice, so be sure to watch your speed.
