“We just won the league! We just won the league!” fans chanted as they marched around the stadium.

Mayor Charlie Hales tweeted congratulatory remarks to the team on Sunday night. He said the city was working on plans for some type of parade or event to celebrate the Timbers’ victory, although official details have not been released.

The Timbers arrival was delayed by nearly 2 hours, but that did not stop the hundreds of fans from meeting their team once they got back to Portland.
