PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — One female was struck and killed by a MAX train around 2 p.m. Sunday in Southeast Portland.
Portland police said the person apparently tried to cross the Orange Line tracks in a restricted area between loading platforms. Investigators said the train’s driver saw her running into the tracks but was not able to stop the train in time.
The name, age and race of the female have not been determined, officials said The investigation continues.
