PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man police dubbed The Joker Bandit is wanted for a string of bank robberies, including one in Northwest Portland on Friday afternoon.
The On Point Community Credit Union was held up at 2:15 p.m. by a man who used a note to demand money, Portland police said. He got the money and left quickly and eluded a neighborhood search.
The thief is suspected of 3 other robberies in recent weeks, police said.
He’s a white man in his late 20s, between 5-feet-8 and 5-10 with a thin build, a narrow face with scars or sores, facial stubble and narrow eyes. On Friday he was wearing a tan jacket and dark pants.
Both the Portland police and the FBI are investigating.
