PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — The release of the app Rumblr received hype over the weekend, with speculation about its authenticity and questions over exactly how it will work.

According to the New York Daily News, the app is designed like Tinder, where people match with others in their local area and then meet in real life. On Rumblr, however, the app helps people find other people to fight with by geographical location.

The Rumblr website says about the app: “find and engage with recreational fighters near you – for free.”

The Washington Post, however, doesn’t believe the app is real, and says it is most likely illegal. The app says they are based in New York City, where street fighting is a crime.

According to the app site, it will be available for download Monday at 5 p.m. EST.
