PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A growing fashion trend has women feeling a lot more comfortable, according to the Boston Globe.

Women are wearing yoga pants to the office, out to dinner and just about all the time. The growing “athleisure” trend has reached new heights in popularity, according to market research company NPD Group.

“It has reached the point that fashion industry analysts say has gone beyond “trend” and become a part of the permanent fashion landscape, at least until something even more comfortable comes along,” the Boston Globe says in their article titled “Yoga pants count as ‘business casual’ now?”

According to the New York Times, the word athleisure is being added to the next update of the Merriam-Webster dictionary.
