After 14 years, long arm of law nabs parole violator

Sean Saenz left the state in 2001

SALEM, Ore. (KOIN) — Sean Saenz left Oregon in 2001. Last week, he returned to the state and was arrested during a traffic stop — for parole violation.

Saenz, 45, was on parole for the unlawful use of a vehicle when he left the state 14 years ago. But when a Marion County deputy made a traffic stop around 5:30 a.m. November 7, he discovered Saenz — who was a passenger — was wanted by the state.

He allegedly told deputies he had been hiding out of state to avoid arrest and had only been back in Oregon for 2 days when he was nabbed.

He’s now being held in the Marion County Jail without bail.
