PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — In the early hours of Friday morning, the U.S. Senate gave its final approval on a federal budget — avoiding a default and a government shutdown in December.
Oregon’s two U.S. Senators, Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley, both democrats, talked to KOIN’s Eileen Park about the deal, and other happenings in Congress, in a wide ranging interview.
They talked about lowering the cost of college, gun control and the 2016 Presidential election.
