Woman ‘covered in blood’ from stabbing in Salem

SALEM, Ore. (KOIN) — A woman was taken to the hospital after police found her covered in blood from apparent stab wounds, authorities said.

Reports came in around 5:30 p.m. of a woman at Silverton and Fisher Road NE who needed medical attention, Salem Police Dept. said.

The victim was taken to a Salem hospital for treatment of stab wounds.

Detectives on Thursday said that the stab wounds were self inflicted. The victim is in stable condition.
