Two October 21 killings still unsolved, tips wanted

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -– Two killings that happened on October 21 in 2010 and 2011 remain unsolved.

On October 21, 2010, Portland police said Donald Ray Polk diad of stab wounds. His body was found near the intersection of SW 1st Avenue and Sheridan Street when officers responded to help medical personnel. “Pokey”, as he was known to his friends, is believed to have been living on the streets at the time of his death.

On Friday, October 21, 2011, officers responded to calls of shots fired on N Haight Avenue at Emerson Street. They arrived and found a group gathered in the street and 22-year-old Deandre Clark suffering from a gunshot wound. Clark was transported to the hospital, but he died 3 days later.

Detectives believe Clark’s homicide could be gang-related.

Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information, reported to Crime Stoppers, that leads to an arrest in this case, or any unsolved felony. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
