1 injured in drive-by shooting, crash into pole

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A drive-by shooting in North Portland resulted in a car crash that injured one person Thursday night, police said.

Portland’s Gang Enforcement Team was called to the area of N Vancouver Avenue and Holman Street shortly after 8 p.m.

At the intersection, a car fired multiple shots in the direction of another vehicle, Portland Police Bureau said.

The gunshots reportedly caused the car to swerve and crash into a pole.

Three passengers fled from the scene but returned shortly after, police said.

According to authorities the victim, who was a passenger in the car, has several injuries related to the car crash, not gunfire.

The shooter was seen in a white car that left the area.
