Salem man, 26, shot, critically wounded

SALEM, Ore. (KOIN) — An early morning shooting on Wednesday left a 26-year-old Salem resident in critical condition, police said.

When police arrived at 4389 Burlington Loop NE just before 3 a.m. they found Gurpreet Singh wounded. He was rushed to Salem Hospital for treatment of his life-threatening injuries.

On Wednesday night, police said they arrested 28-year-old Cassie Ann Dunlap after further investigation.

Dunlap was arrested on charges of attempted murder, first-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon.

Investigators said the shooter and victim knew each other and the incident was the result of a dispute.

No other suspects are being sought at this time.
