Police investigate AT&T smash and grabs

Police haven’t said if the two cases are related, but confirmed detectives are investigating

HILLSBORO, Ore. (KOIN 6) – Police on Wednesday morning said that they are investigating two smash and grabs at AT&T cell phone retail stores in Washington County.

According to Hillsboro Police, the first incident was reported at 11:22 p.m. on Tuesday in the at a AT&T retail store in the 1200 block of Northeast 48th Avenue.

In the second incident, at 1:31 a.m., Tigard Police responded to the Biz Connect Wireless, an AT&T retailer, on reports of a smash and grab.

According to Hillsboro Police, the suspect that they are looking for is an adult male, who is 5-feet 11” with a medium build. He was reportedly wearing a black skull cap and black jacket. The suspect had black pants with a white strip on it; sort of like gym pants, according to police.

The suspect had a bandana covering his face and put several cell phones in a duffel bag.

Police haven’t said if the two cases are related, but confirmed detectives are investigating.
