**Excessive Heat Warning in effect through Friday at 9 p.m.**

**Red Flag Warning for I-5 corridor & Cascades through 11 p.m. Friday**

The hottest day of the year has arrived.  Temperatures rise quickly Thursday.  By lunch, it’ll be in the 90s.  Late this afternoon, temperatures likely peak in the triple digits for the first time in 3-years at PDX. The airport hasn’t seen a 100 degree day August 16, 2012!  Along the coast, temperatures will be in the upper-70s to mid-80s.

Friday will be another scorcher.  The Excessive Heat Watch lasts all day.  Most locations between Kelso and Eugene will reach 100 degrees again.

Heat sticks around for the weekend.  Highs will be between 92 and 95 degrees Saturday and Sunday.

By the middle of next week it’s back to normal.  Highs return to the low-80s by Wednesday.
